Youth sports and athletics include volleyball, basketball, football, cross country and track. Children must be enrolled in St. John LaLande Catholic School or be active in a parish religious education program to participate. All youth of St. John LaLande are welcome.
*Football: Our football program is open to athletes grades 1st-8th. Grades 1st-2nd will combine to form a flag team, and grades 3rd-4th will also merge to create a flag team. Tackle teams will be divided into teams consisting of 5th and 6th graders, and 7th and 8th graders.
*Basketball: Basketball is open to athletes ranging from K-8th. Kindergarteners and 1st graders will combine to form a coed team. 2nd grade students will form a team and will primarily be prepared for the Parochial League. Athletes in grades 3rd-8th will play in the Kansas City Parochial League and will form teams within their class- ACCEPTIONS MAY VARY.
*Volleyball: The volleyball program at SJL is available to girls in grades 3rd-8th. They will play in the Kansas City Parochial League.
*Track/Cross Country: Track and Cross Country is available to boys and girls in grades 4th-8th. They will compete against athletes from other Kansas City Parochial Schools.

St. John LaLande will host a 3rd/4th Grade City Basketball Championship Tournament on March 3-5 and March 10-12.
